Jerry never wore shoes until the first grade, was exposed to classical philosophy in the seventh grade, and taught engineering for thirty-two years. Over the past twenty years he has designed and built Bernhardt Winery LLC. which he owns alongside his wife and where he not only makes wines, but also finds joy and inspiration for his writings.
