Since Covid, my press, Pacific Raven Press, LLC,has published: Red Dreams Volcano Visions by Kathryn Takara, which includes Hawaiianmythology and a glossary; Close Caskets by Dante Clark, a California poet; Our Spirits Carry OurVoices (a collection of poems by West African and California poets); and A Silhouette in Time byLily Wu. Two more books are forthcoming before the end of 2021, Sisters Across Oceans (acollection of poems by Hawaii and Ghanaian women) and a collection, Haiku in SeasonsAwards: The History Makers, Black Futures Award, Life-Time Achievement (NAACP) award,Knighted in the Orthodox Order of St. John. Recent activities: I was interviewed internationallyand internationally on my research on blacks in Hawaii, gave ZOOM lectures, several podcasts,co-produced a jazz night in Honolulu, gave presentation at the UN/NGO, performed in severallocal and national poetry readings on line and recently in San Francisco; and in 2020 curated apublic library Black History month featuring local Black artists and a virtual walking tour at theHawaii Museum of Art, consulted on film on Martin Luther King, Jr. in Hawaii (1959) and hisinfluence in the islands.
