Freeman spent his professional career as a university professor, retiring after many decades of teaching youth, college students, and adults. His professional outreach ranged from community group meetings to mass media presentations via the printed press, radio, television and internet. A trained scientist involved with research in biological sciences, he believes that God provides the desire and ability to learn the truth about ourselves and our world. And, as we grow in our knowledge of God’s intended purpose for us individually, we become more empowered to live with a sense of purpose and fulfillment. He defines his credentials and desires for authoring SOw Right: “Maybe many decades of being a university educator with a multitude of experiences with youth and adults provides evidence. Maybe years of providing guidance for personal growth in others through life skills education. Or perhaps, more specific experience with leading youth, college and adult Bible study provides credence. Maybe decades of attending Sunday morning sermons, studying resources prepared by reputable Christian leaders, or meditating on God’s word makes me an authority. On the contrary, I can counter those credentials with not being “raised” in church or by a “God seeking family”. I’m most comfortable sitting in the back row on Sunday mornings, haven’t attended as many trainings on religion as I could, and have no professional degrees in theology. My list of credentials? Confessed sinner. Accepted by God. Abilities gifted from God. Loved by God. Love for God. Love for others. Encouraged by God to share what God can mean to anyone regardless of past position or current situation in life. And with that, my hope for all of us to better know who we are and who we are meant to be.”vizualizați mai puține
