Later, he shifted his interest to the commercial field and became involved in investment opportunity evaluation, commodity marketing and business strategy development, before moving into executive management.
Dr Gan has long been fascinated by the contrast between Chinese and western cultures and has devoted much time and effort in comparative studies. His article “Square Head and Round Head” was published in the Chinese magazine “China Capital” in 2002 and received praise from a wide ranging audience.
