He was born in Ibadan , Oyo state of Nigeria,where he also had his elementary school. He completed his Secondary school education at Nigerian International School in Republic du Benin. After which he got admitted to the prestigious OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE-IFE, to study Law. It was during his years of study at the citadel of learning that his political and cultural perception became more pronounced.
He was an African student activist while he was an undergraduate and participated actively in Students' Unionism. And it was his political activism and cultural ideology which gave birth to the publication of "Commoner's Speech" while he was in his fourth year of study at the University.
