Born in West Virginia but grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. I met my wife in church, where I sang in the choir. She had seen me a number of years before we met, went home and told her girlfriend that she was going to marry me. I was indeed blessed. Fortunately, I got out of high school before they threw me out for poor grades. Spent four years in a two-year school, but after I was married in 1970, went back to school and was on the dean’s list. I have been everything from a deputy sheriff to a VP of sales and traveled the world. My home with her was always the best place to be. I am extremely proud of our two sons who took the chances offered to them and are very successfully in their own right. I was very blessed to have found my soulmate early in life.
