He is the youngest of six children and son of a preacher. In 2005 he moved to Co-op City in the Bronx, New York, with his brother and his wife to pursue a modeling career. After two years of trying, he settled for a regular job to support himself and be on his own. Kushan eventually found an apartment in Harlem with two roommates. In the late nights, he would write stories to encourage himself about his shortfalls. In 2006 he joined Second Chance Agape Worship Center and eventually became a minister. At church was where he met his wife, whom he married in 2009. He currently has three children—Kiema, Azai, and Simone—and has one on the way (February 2017). He and his wife make it a priority to read to their children every night. Their belief is that reading encourages them to dream big and open their minds to achieve impossible. One of the best parts of reading to children is having them create stories with their own endings. Kushan has been writing stories since 2008 and wants to inspire young people never to be ashamed of where they are now and to know failure only happens when you quit.vizualizați mai puține
