Always a fan of interactive fiction, reader-participation novels, he set out to write his own. Inspired by the writing styles of Terry Pratchett (the 'Discworld' series) Stephen R. Donaldson ('The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant'), and C.S. Lewis ('Narnia') among others, he has worked to create a unique world that is both real and fantasy for his characters to inhabit.
