Her impressive experience teaching young people in the classroom coupled with her broad, deep career in the wildlife conservation profession and multiple advanced degrees converged to create an extraordinary foundation for her to write The Tortoise Tales. Guynn earned a B.A. in biology from the University of Richmond, a Masters in science education from the University of Virginia, a Doctorate from Colorado State University, and numerous awards nationally for developing leadership.
