His background was steeped in sports and academics for a school named Alden-Conger. He has one sibling, an identical twin. Many honors in academics and sports were awarded thoughout his school days. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics. He moved on to work as a software engineer for IBM and Medtronic and earned a M.B.A from the University of St.Thomas.
