The Mauch family rescued and adopted Reeser from a local animal shelter in 2012. Reeser was only 3 months old upon adoption. Reeser’s uniquely strong tail, which often guides his own very deliberate actions, inspired this book. Reeser is playful, thoughtful, and loving. Even though his tail causes many mishaps, Reeser’s intentions are always good. Reeser is completely devoted to his best friend Sam.
