She enjoys babysitting her two grandchildren; gardening; holding family celebrations; spending summer vacations in Baiting Hollow, Long Island, New York; art and writing. In addition to The Strawberry Promise, she has published four other children’s books (The Secret of Baiting Hollow, Baiting Hollow: A Time of Enchantment, Little Lillie’s Mermaid Day, and The Garden Party). Pat was the editor of two of Mollie Wilson’s books, Santa’s Hat and Anchors Away!, and the illustrator for Kelly Smith Papa’s book, Isabella’s Blizzard Party.
About the Illustrator: Amy L. A. Smith illustrated The Strawberry Promise during her recent visit to Ireland with her aunt as a Christmas gift for her mother. Amy’s passion and work in the arts are sparked by her family’s faith and creativity. Through Amy’s artistic life journey, A.L.A.S. Art (Always Laughing!
