She is a graduate of Hamline University's MFA program where she studied poetry. Her work has been published in the BitterZoet and Rock, Paper and Scissors. She was a featured artist in the Bedlam Theatre's 10X10 Fest. Gunn frequently participates in readings and workshops across the country. She also teaches writing to college students and adult learners. Before becoming an instructor, Gunn worked as a newspaper reporter covering school systems.
