She is currently a surgeon. Her great-great-grandmother was of the largest tribe of the Nadowessioux, forced west by the Ojibwa with their French guns. But somewhere along her branch of the tree there is a little Cheyenne from a raiding party, some Wahpekute, some Sisseton. She is more Dakota than Lakota, more Santee than Teton.
