During OIF-1, I was Lieutenant General Sanchez’s lead intelligence officer and point man in the Shi’ite holy city of Najaf, where Muqtada lived and operated. I served as a Tactical Human Intelligence Team Leader, responsible for hunting and tracking Muqtada during the six months leading up to his Mahdi militia’s battles against the Coalition in 2004. This memoir chronicles not only our hunt, but also the decisions that were made at levels up to and including the White House, and how they affected the outcome.
This memoir demonstrates the personal sacrifices made by the Soldiers of my team during this unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I currently live in California, and am still serving on active duty.vizualizați mai puține
