She became a freelance writer for magazines such as Redbook, McCalls, Ladies’ Home Journal, Parade, and Reader’s Digest. She co-authored two humor books: The Unofficial Mother’s Handbook and The Unofficial Cat Lover’s Handbook. She died in 1997.
