Born in Calgary, he has written extensively on a wide range of historical topics. His interest in women’s ice hockey was sparked in childhood by family visits to his grandparents in Fernie. His most recent publications are A World Apart: The Crowsnest Communities of Alberta and British Columbia and Kamloops History: Fictions, Facts and Fragments.
