Both her parents were always on the road taking odd jobs and trying to earn enough to feed take care of their children. She loved living with her grandmother and she learned a lot from her. She was also encouraged by her to be opinioned and strong and not to stop fighting for what she wanted. That gave her the idea for a character for a story; a woman who was strong willed and knew that she had to do what was needed to keep her family alive.
