I am a Malagueña by birth and a traveler by heart. My first memory of the world of literature is from when I was in the 2nd grade and I dedicated myself to entertaining the preschoolers on the bus with a story that I created and developed each day. I don’t remember the beginning or the end of that story, but I do remember the kids arriving each day asking me to pick up the story from where I left off the day before. That was an amazing feeling.
I think from that moment I knew that literature was my thing and I began participating in school contests which I went on winning little by little. At age sixteen, thanks to my friend Dawn’s insistence, I sacrificed my summer at the beach to write what would be my first novel, El Enigma de Isis, in order to participate in the Jordi Sierra i Fabra Literary Prize for Young Writers. I didn’t win, but being a finalist on my first try motivated me so much that I continued on and years later I finished my second novel, La Canción del Silencio (The Song of Silence), which finally made it on paper in May of 2010.
When I look back I become aware of how much I’ve done and how much I’ve achieved without realizing it. I spent a year living in France, possibly the best year of my life so far. I grew up there, I matured there, and I gained a second family whom I love with all of my soul. I like to try new things, to be spontaneous, I laugh to cover up my nervousness and I’m a complete drama queen. As a child my dream was to be a vampire or a pirate, and I’ve come to be told that I have the voice of a porn star when I speak French. I don’t like labels and when I go out I can’t stand holding a drink in my hand while I dance. I’m more about getting the bartender to give me shots of Tequila. I love literature of all types, vizualizați mai puține
