He cut his literary teeth on classics from Tolkien and modern masters King, Crichton, and Peretti. He fell in love with writing as an adult and prefers to craft stories for young adult readers. His debut novel, The Beast of Macon Hollow (Book 1 of The Guardian Stones trilogy), was released in late 2012.
