Shirley is a woman that knows the true meaning of “Peace”; peace of mind and spirit. She is the epitome of survivorship, whether it be from domestic violence, substance abuse, breast cancer or lupus. Through it all, Against All Odds, she finds peace in the midst of her storms.
With over 20 years of motivational speaking experience, Shirley has captivated audiences with her willingness of openness’ by sharing her life experiences. She has continued to encourage a countless number of people to find break-through in their own lives. While sharing her true passion for the Lord, Shirley continually lives her days with a presence of peace, and love for all. God constantly shows himself strong in her life.
She professes her love for the Lord by sharing her gifts and talents in helping others to pursue their dreams and aspiration through her entertainment company Phenomenal Entertainment, Ltd. Formerly CJ Management, Inc. (CJM). In the midst of a broken marriage, Shirley challenged herself and channeled her energy’s to perform the ultimate form of empowerment – she established CJM. The year 1999 was not a time to “Party like its 1999”, as Prince once sang; it was the beginning of Freedom, Independency and a quest for Peace.
Simultaneously, Shirley also established her non-profit organization called “Against All Odds” which provides breasts cancer support and information for African American women and their families. Being a two-time survivor herself, Shirley saw the need to offer support and education to empower African American women, and their families, in their quest to regain ownership of their lives. By being an example herself, others are able to see the importance of early detection, and how they can survive with the proper support, both medically and spiritually. Living a fulfilled life is truly possible!
She is currently penning her second book, “Life Through the Eye of a Rose”. She is the mother of three beautiful sons, grandmother five over, an entrepreneur, and truly a spoiled child of God.vizualizați mai puține
