A former army officer who also worked in the corporate sector for many years, his first book, Legion of the Brave, based on his experiences during the 1971 Bangladesh War, was published in the year 2000 and the second one, Empire’s First Soldiers, a battlefield history of the South Indian troops, was published in 2008. He has also authored an essay on the military history of Madras for the prestigious publication, Madras – Chennai – A 400-year record of the First City of Modern India, championed by the Association of British Scholars and British Council Division.
