Over the years I heard about mistreatements towards Sikh people, who came to America to become prosperous like many other people who immigrate to America. Many of them were mistakened to be something which they would never think of being. I was inspired by my own religon to write this novel because Sikhism is a part of my religon that I love, nontheless my passion for writing has greatly increased through my time in high school. I am 17 years old and I live in Edison, New Jersey. I always moved a lot during elementary and middle school. As I was always on the move, I wrote all the time about how I was going to miss my old friends or what to expect at my new home in a different city.
