I was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. For as long as I can remember, I loved to write, draw, paint, basically anything that lets me be creative. For as long as I can remember, I loved to write, draw, paint, basically anything that lets me be creative. (My mom and dad always said, “Now if you applied that effort to your other subjects, you would be golden.”) I brushed it off and continued doing what I loved most—my art. I have a very close family, who has supported every decision that I have made. My number one is my family. After I graduated high school, my dad got sick. We lost him in October of 2001. After that, my world changed. I realized that it’s not all sunshine and lollipops, but we make each day thereafter. We live, learn, and grow from the past. I’m a happy person. I like to help others, and my friendships are very important to me.
I love the outdoors, the animals, and my alone time. In 2002, I started working with children. I absolutely loved it. I got to get back down to that level and get creative and use my imagination again. I worked in two centers and ran two of my own day home programs out of my house. In all the years, I have become very close with the children I cared for and their families. Some I like to call my best friends. The children, throughout the years, have taught me so much about who I am as well as who I want to be. I will be forever thankful to my “littles.” I currently work for a home builder in Grande Prairie and expanding my new career with my creative side and taking an interior design course. Seems I keep getting opportunities in my life to keep up with that creative side that I love so much.
