Watson (1975-present) was born in Detroit, MI, and spent her teen years living in Cleveland, OH. Tawana has 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren, she had her first child when she was 16 years old and the other three children came shortly after. Tawana, raised her children alone, going to college and working full time. Tawana finally got her Master's degree in Accountancy and currently works for a Fortune 500 Corporation in Cleveland.
Tawana is an active and out-spoken advocate and lobbyist for minority mental health issues, African American women issues, and African American youth violence. Tawana created a 501c4 non-profit organization to help with her advocacy and lobbying efforts.
Tawana, also, suffers from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and depression, that is why these subjects are so near and dear to her.
Tawana has aways wanted to be an author and now that her life is in a place where it's stable, she has decided to embark on this journey. It is with great hope that the writings (poems, novels, essays) that is written and published on this platform touches and speaks to someone who needs to know that they are not alone.vizualizați mai puține
