I spent my youth daydreaming of grand adventures. Designing and developing many concepts, including several computer games and comic books, but the one that has endured the longest and consumed most of my thoughts, my magnum opus, is the story of James Island. The characters and events have matured and evolved alongside my own journey to adulthood. I also have self-published two children's story books through Lulu.com, and am in the process of developing a series of educational books for various ages.
Being an avid gamer, I spent the majority of my time growing up developing James Island's adventures as a video game concept, and to this day have amassed hundreds of A4 pages, several filled notepads, dozens of word documents and even a Wiki, collecting all the ideas and images of the world as it progressed and became what it is today. Feeling the overwhelming need to bring the story to life and out into the ether, somehow, I decided to use my passion for writing and storytelling and turn James Island into a novel. Doing so has allowed me to delve into the character's minds and bring them to life so much more than I ever thought possible back when I was designing hit-point percentages of sword attack combinations, and the result is a much more mature and complicated story than my younger mind could have ever conceived.vizualizați mai puține
