The story is personal and a way to tell the my story and the story of my peers. Growing up in a single parent home as a young black child in a country like South Africa shapes your personality and destiny in different manner to any other country however the theme of perseverance is universal. Everyone who has faced challenges in their lives or questioned their surroundings will feel this book is speaking to them. My mother died too young and too soon which left my elder sister and I responsible for raising our younger sibling. Only being in our early twenties we gave up a few dreams to become guardians and redesigned our lives to suit our new roles in the confines of our countries political and historical boundaries. Now in my thirties, married with my own daughter. Its only now that understand my journey thus far and confidently write about my experience.vizualizați mai puține
