Born a Northerner, I've lived in various parts of England. I moved finally to Germany, which is where I have retired. Now at last I have time to concentrate on writing novels, whose characters I hope to make both entertaining and realistic. My approach is to delve into the minutiae of everyday living in search of the comic and the tragic, the dramatic and the grotesque. Here lie also the sources of passion and hate.
