Vince Lutheran graduated with an electrical engineering degree from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. He spent more than twenty five years in the high technology industry where he held senior level positions including general manager, vice president and president of both large industry leaders and small start-up organizations. Vince also, as president of his own company, Ideas & Innovations LLC, consulted for such major firms as Hewlett Packard and Avnet. Later in his career, he taught management and marketing courses at the University of North Carolina’s Cameron School of Business in Wilmington.
Personal Biography
Vince Lutheran was born into a family of ten kids in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His Dad often worked two and sometimes three jobs to keep the family together. This may be the reason for Vince’s high desire for achievement, recognition and willingness to help others throughout his career. During his twenty five years in the high technology industry, Vince became known for his ability to turn failing businesses into healthy profitable organizations. Later, as a business school instructor, he was more than once recognized by his students as an outstanding teacher. It was during this time that Vince recognized the vast difference between what academia taught and what real managers needed. The result was his first book, Management For Real Managers and Those That Want To Be. Now retired, Vince enjoys living on the coast of North Carolina and the time he spends with his two children and the grandbrat.vizualizați mai puține
