I overcame the educational system to earn a PhD in Organizational Learning at The Union Institute and University. Early on in my career I developed curriculum for adults and taught at a small liberal arts college. Then I was approached to do research with a group that started at MIT; I spent the next ten years studying Harley-Davidson; I was their Learning Historian/Reflective Analyst.
Eventually my desire to write beat to death my desire to consult, so I set out to tell the kinds of stories I couldn't share in proprietary documents, even though I occasionally tried. When first thought of the project that became Daveland, I thought it would be a humorous travelogue, that’s when Dave showed up.
