She grew up in the country of North Carolina, married at 17, dropped out of high school, got married, had two wonderful boys, had thyroid cancer, got divorced, and moved - in the space of 5 years. She later worked at various jobs, married again to an amazingly supportive man, had one more son (wow -what she would have missed without him), became a business owner together with her husband, which they still own. (Big breath) She returned to college at the age of 47, majored in history (with a focus on the Holocaust), taught History at the community college level for one year and got booted because THE THESIS wasn't completed.
