To this end he dedicated himself to learning how to make money online.
It all came about when his Wife had to leave him for 3 months to earn money as they were so poor. A few years later and he had found the secret. Earning commissions through affiliate links by using programs such as the Amazon Associates program.
He realized that as he was rather articulate he could write blogs and recommend products and earn a nice living in his underwear, and he often even fails to brush his hair for days on end (it's nice and curly though).
Now he spends much of his time smoking his pipe and wearing comfy slippers while being fed grapes by semi-clad women (when the Wife is out shopping).
If you want to learn how to make a living online then you really should read his publications, they are brilliant.
