He earned a B.A. in Theatre at Brigham Young University and a PhD in Dramaturgy at Bowling Green State University. He has published extensively on Scandinavian drama, theatre and magic. He served his LDS mission to Denmark and lives in Rochester, NY, with his wife Gail and their two sons.
